How to Invite Multiple Users to Your Backhug Location

This article explains how to invite multiple users to your Backhug location. This is especially important if your location is set to private.

Public vs. Private Locations

  • Public Locations: Anyone using the Backhug app can find and book sessions at your location.
  • Private Locations: Only invited users can see and book sessions at your location.

 

Inviting Multiple Users

 
1. Go to the User List:
    • Navigate to the Location Information page.
    • Click on the Users tab on the left-hand side. This shows a list of all users currently invited to your location.

2. Open the "Add Multiple Users" Pop-up:
    • Click the Add Multiple Users button in the top right-hand corner.

3. Choose User Type:
    • Select the type of user you want to invite:
      • Paying members: These users can book and pay for Backhug sessions through the app or use Backhug minutes.
      • Free-to-use members: These users can use Backhug sessions free of charge.

4. Select Invitation Method:
    • Choose how you want to invite users:
      • Email: Recommended for inviting a smaller number of users (up to 10).
      • CSV file upload: Recommended for inviting a larger number of users (e.g., 50, 100, or more).

 

Method 1: Email Invitations

 
1. Enter Email Addresses:
    • Enter the email addresses of the users you want to invite, separated by commas.
    • Correctly formatted email addresses will be highlighted in green. Incorrectly formatted addresses will be highlighted in red.

2. Review and Add User Details (If Needed):
    • Click Submit.
    • The system will check if the email addresses are associated with existing BackHug accounts.
      • Existing accounts: Highlighted in green. No further action is needed.
      • New accounts: Highlighted in red. You'll need to provide additional information:
        • Click the Add Name button next to each red-highlighted user.
        • Enter the user's first and last name.
        • A default password ("Backhug123") will be provided. You can change this, but it's recommended to keep it for now.

3. Confirm and Invite:
    • Once all users are highlighted in green, click Confirm.
    • The invited users will receive an email with instructions on how to download the BackHug app and log in. The email will also prompt them to change their default password.

 

Method 2: CSV File Upload

 

1. Download the Demo File:

  • Click the Download Demo File button/link. This will download an example Excel file to your computer.

2. Fill in the CSV File:

    • Open the downloaded file and fill in the required information: email address, first name, and last name for each user. All fields are required.

 

3. Upload the completed CSV File:

Important Notes:

  • Remember that all users you invite will be assigned the user type you selected in Step 3 (Paying or Free-to-use).
  • The CSV file upload method is recommended for inviting larger numbers of users.
