# Can I use BackHug if my back is slightly curved?

## In this article, we'll discuss how BackHug accommodates individual back curvatures and can be adjusted for users with sideways spinal curvature.

BackHug is designed to accommodate individual back curvatures. Even if you lie on the device out of central alignment, it will still provide you with a stimulating therapy to reduce the stiffness around the centre of your back.

Users with sideways **curvature** of the **spine** can benefit from the option where you can decrease the strength of treatment on one side. You can make one side gentler.
