Troubleshooting Device Registration Issues

  1. Check the Power Connection:

    • Ensure Proper Plugging: Confirm that the BackHug device is properly plugged into the wall socket and that the socket is switched on. The power cable should be securely connected underneath the unit.
    • Switch On: Locate the O/I switch (off/on) under the device and make sure it is in the "I" (on) position. The Leg Rest Release button should illuminate when the device is powered on.
  2. Proximity to the Device:

    • Stand within 2 meters (approximately 6.5 feet) of the BackHug device when attempting to start a session to maintain a stable Bluetooth connection.
  3. Enable Bluetooth & Location Services:

    • Ensure that Bluetooth and location services on your phone are enabled and allowed. Your phone connects to the BackHug device via Bluetooth, and location services assist with booking sessions and may be required for Bluetooth connections on Android devices.
  4. Handling Unregistered Devices:

    • If you receive a message indicating that the device is not fully registered or has an incorrect MAC address, copy the MAC address displayed on your screen and note the serial ID number located on the sticker underneath your BackHug device (e.g., GB-12023-3423-XXXXXX-1D).
    • Contact Support: Click the "Contact Support" button and describe the issue in the support form. Our support team will be notified and will work to solve your problem remotely as soon as possible.

By following these steps, you can successfully register and start using your BackHug device. If you encounter any issues, our support team is here to help.
